The original part of The Eltermere Inn started life as a farmhouse with a collection of surrounding barns and this dates back as far as the late 1500’s.
However, in 1756 William Robinson remodelled the property into a more refined country residence from which it now gets its gentrified look without losing any of the original character. It remained a private home until the 1950’s when it was turned into a country house hotel.
